Power Purchase Agreements hold high value in creating a low risk environment for projects to be constructed, operated, and maintained, by the respected parties that are involved within a PPA. This agreement is made by the specified government entity and the engaged company that will be constructing a source of power within the jurisdiction in which the government resides. This will ensure that the project will be held to overall higher standards and all deadlines are met. This will also ensure a purchase by the specified government of a power source once constructed and operated. Virtute Fortuna currently has orchestrated a Power Purchase Agreement, which is already in place, between the state owned company CDEEE and the management company PINEGY Commercial Group, which will initiate after the project has been successfully completed and the plant is fully operational. This agreement will open opportunities with companies that have the capability of introducing new power to an existing grid, or even possibly creating a new and cleaner grid for a potentially new city, given the right technology and partnerships. A PPA Agreement will help to reduce risk and maximize performance for a project of this scale to be done.
